Welcome to the Children's Advancement Fund, Inc.

Clients

  1. Clients will demonstrate a need based on standardized testing. Scores should demonstrate a one standard deviation below the mean or a percentile rank of 16 or less on a total test or 2 or more subtests.
  2. Clients will qualify for funding based on income guidelines (equal to or less than 400 % of the federal poverty guidelines) and insurance guidelines. Families will be asked to submit financial documentation (personal and business tax return and investment income).
  3. Clients are able to request that their provider participate in Children's Advancement Fund (CAF).
  4. All children will be placed on one waiting list and families will be contacted as space is available.
  5. Children will be discharged after a 2 year time period from the start of funding as well as when goals are meet or progress plateaus. Children may be able to return to the waiting list.
  6. Clients agree to keep at least 85 % of all scheduled appointments.
  7. If funds are not available to continue therapy services, the client will be notified of termination of funding.
  8. One visit a week, in each required discipline, will be supported as long as funding is available.
  9. Clients agree to follow providers cancellation and no show policies. Cancellation and no show fees cannot be submitted to CAF.

Children's Advancement Fund, Inc., a nonprofit organization, supports children with special needs and their families in Connecticut by facilitating services such as Occupational, Physical and Speech/Language Therapy as well as assisting the integration of children and families into the community through various programs.
