CAF has helped my son receive services that he would not otherwise have access to. We adopted him from Guatemala. When we brought him home the school systems had a difficult time understanding his needs. It was not until we started services at Pediaflex Therapy Center that we realized how much he understands and is able to do. We have learned how to help him. We learned that he is able to spell and communicate using computers. Without funding from CAF we would not have been able to continue to help him grow.

My daughter has a mild language impairment. She needs specialized assistance so that she is able to play with other children and communicate effectively. Through Creative Development we have been able to help her learn these skills. Without funding from Children’s Advancement Fund we would not be able to help her with these skills. It is so important for her future that she is able to interact and communicate. She is a smart girl who just needs a little extra 1:1 attention from a specialist.

We found out when my daughter we 4 that she needed more assistance than the school system could provide. She receives weekly OT, PT and speech therapy services. The therapists understand how to work with her and what she needs. The school system helps her also but in a different way. The school system teaches her, her colors, letters, and other academic skills. I cannot tell you enough how much the extra support has helped by daughter to grow and develop. She is using 4 word sentences, jumping, climbing and playing with toys. Sometimes I forget she has special needs.
